As we wrapped up our December deals, the $10.88 Million Dollar Longboat Key Estate listed by Judy Kepecz-Hays has gone under contract in less than 60 days of being on the market!

This pending deal will emerge among Sarasota’s top sales in 2022 when it closes. This Luxury Estate is across the street from the Longboat Key Island Chapel and is among one of the 6-luxury homes listed within the last year priced at over $10 Million. It was featured in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune back in November by Marsha Fottler.

The location of this estate is on North Longboat Key a highly desired, prestigious location. One of the homeowners in the area is well-known designer Michael Kors. In 2013, he purchased a $6 Million double lot on Longboat Key to building a modern home featured in Vogue magazine.

Reflecting Our 2021 Highlights

Our Judy Kepecz-Hays Team is, of course, no stranger to the vibrant snowbird season that is now upon us. Around the same time last year, our team was busy facilitating the deal on an $11-Million Sale of the historic residence Casa del Carnivale on St. Armands one of the most expensive homes sold on St Armands in 2021.

In April of last year, we sold a luxury residence at the Aria, a luxury waterfront condominium on Longboat Key that sold for $5.6 Million. This was one of the highest-priced condominium sales on the island last year and contributed toward generating momentum for our 2021 record-breaking sales.

Sarasota Draws “New Power Players”

A recent Coldwell Banker study conveys the strength of the Sarasota real estate market. This report indicates that Sarasota is drawing “new power players” in its luxury home market.

In the Coldwell Banker study, buyers were identified as follows:

Second Homeowners. These power players have consumed the inventory and influenced the price spike in overall luxury property markets.
Baby Boomers are representing 51% of power players.
Golden Millennials. Making up 60% of millennial-owned homes ranging from $1 Million -$5 Million.
