Sarabande

Sarabande in Sarasota is a luxury condominium that deftly mimics its name that denotes the emotive, balanced and rhythmic melodies of a Spanish dance music. It found a fitting template to express its opulent personality at 340 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota downtown’s prime Marina district. The condominium straddles the entire southwest slice of South Palm and South Gulfstream Avenues’ intersection with Ringling Boulevard just across a roundabout.

The construction of Sarabande, one of the tallest condominiums in the Sarasota downtown area, was one of the projects during a surge in Florida real estate development in the 1990s. The devastation brought by Hurricane Andrew in 1992 generated insurance funding and government assistance that led to a building boom in South Florida. Besides Sarabande, the luxury residential property developments that took off at that time included Tessera, Marina Tower and the Ritz-Carlton hotel and its condominium component.

Well-Developed Sarasota Condominium Market Offering

Sarabande was developed as an 18-story condominium that was completed in 1998 with 57 residential units. Towering 180 feet high, this condominium quickly captured the interest of prospective buyers exploring opportunities in the Sarasota real estate market. Its lofty stature primarily derives from the ultimate in style, comfort, and convenience that the Sarabande building offers.

Designed by the renowned Canadian architect, James Cheng, the condominium flaunts a contemporary architecture that perfectly blends with the chic downtown Sarasota skyline and its bayfront location. Sarabande is designed with three to six units to a floor, plus five penthouses that are showcase to the luxury trademark to this residential tower.

Two floors of the building are assigned for parking, and a concierge level is provided as well. Inviting with its elegant lobby, the condominium provides several amenities, which include a lap pool, spa, health club, entertainment center, billiard room, and wine storage. The condominium is pet-friendly and maintained by an efficient property management company.

Sarasota Condominium Residences for Keeps

Sarabande is mostly occupied by permanent residents, attesting to its superiority as a high-end residence. Working professionals, artists, and entrepreneurs mainly comprise the condominium’s residents.

Indeed, it’s quite appealing to live in Sarabande permanently. Its residences, particularly those at the upper floors, provide breathtaking views of the nearby marina, the Golden Gate Point Peninsula and Sarasota Bay. Additionally, Sarabande is walking distance to many downtown attractions like the Main Street Merchants District and other hubs of life and leisure in Sarasota’s city center. Throw in the lifestyle delights of nearby St. Armands Circle, and Sarabande certainly can’t be left out in a short list of highly desirable Sarasota condominium properties.
